Queens Quest III: End of Dawn

In the midst of a battle for the Academy, a young promising student, Eliana, is sent on a dangerous mission of retrieving three powerful artifacts, the Dragon Crystals. It is soon revealed that she will have to overcome unimaginable danger and travel immeasurable distance, putting her life on the line. She will face hidden enemies who will stand in her way while trying to obtain the artifacts. Follow Eliana on her mission to save her home and the people she loves, overcome betrayal, malice and trembling power which sleeps where you least expect it in Queen's Quest 3: The End of Dawn.

I have been playing these games for many years, and I have watched as the developers have all come a very long way! The game begins with you needing to steal from a classmate in order to pass your test. You are Eliana and it is your last day at your school. When I saw this game I jumped on it since it a Collectors Edition that I have played many times in the past using Windows. The adventure begins with a child being left at the Zora Academy of Alchemy under mysterious circumstances, before skipping forward a number of years. If you were ever stuck in the game then there was an option for you to do an easier puzzle or skip a puzzle entirely, much like other titles in the genre. Very enjoyable! This amulet is mentioned every time anyone tries to defeat you. Eliana is a pretty picky human, who will only solve puzzles once she has completed instructions — something I found extremely annoying within the game. This amulet needs to be activated to fight off enemies or to cross some strange paths. Not a lot of lame person interactions and more fun. At times, I had half of the instructions, which would really be enough to solve the puzzle, but my character refused. Various scenes had additional objects that you could find to gain achievements; ghosts, hats and crests. The game begins with you needing to steal from a classmate in order to pass your test. The amulet works in a Simon-Says style, with you lighting up the parts of the gem in the order they shine. Anyway, as you get deeper and deeper into the game there is one new type of puzzle that starts to appear a lot. Another important part of the story was an amulet you were given by the headmaster. There is an integrated map which allows you to travel using the map also. These stones turn out to be very important as they can be used to summon the long absent dragons. The amulet works in a Simon-Says style, with you lighting up the parts of the gem in the order they shine. Good work.

A twist of fate sees the place come under attack from Gargoyles and so Eliana must aid her fellow academy students and staff members in withstanding the infiltration. My biggest issue with the game was the interaction points. Good work. The tale as a whole is a bit of a magical-infused rollercoaster ride in a world alongside fairies and elves, with triumph and betrayal going hand in hand to keep you on your toes. It was a great addition when the Devs started adding the Bonus Game on the Collectors Editions I feel more like I am getting my moneys worth when all the extras are added.   1. Good work. If you like HOS and Adventure games this is an exceptional buy. Anyway, as you get deeper and deeper into the game there is one new type of puzzle that starts to appear a lot. As the least qualified alchemist on the scene it is — apparently — up to you to get these stones back and stop whatever darkness is trying to take over the world. This amulet needs to be activated to fight off enemies or to cross some strange paths.

I hate to keep harping on the lack of Guides, but for some beginners in the game world they can be very helpful.
