Lost Lands: Ice Spell

The cold has come to the Lost Lands in the middle of the summer. Folk are hiding inside, trying to warm their homes while the deep freeze threatens their lives. The elders say that the spirit of the Frozen Mountains has awoken, but they were mistaken. The real cause lies deep in the ancient history of the Lost Lands, when the world was young. Join Susan on her quest to find the source of the sudden winter and help her bring warmth back to the Lost Lands.

This one kept me hooked for hours on end and I will be buying the others in the Lost Lands series. I never pay much attention to the sound, so it must not have been bad, since I didn't even notice it. Each ones takes about minutes to do. Rated 5 out of 5 by rpggramma from Great Game. Great game! The hidden object games are highly interactive silhouette where you find one item to use to find another, etc. Most important for me is the puzzles. Story line is a new one, different from most and holds your interest.

You must find one thing and use it to progress to the next thing. This one kept me hooked for hours on end and I will be buying the others in the Lost Lands series. The puzzles were great, not too difficult but not too easy. It went on and on, and again new areas opened up to be explored. But luckily there is this interactive map. This is where my one complaint about this game comes in. The graphics are spectacular - colourful, well defined and perfect on the eyes. A good amount of HO's and they were not "just find", it was "find and use". Never before in a HOPA game have we seen characters so lifelike and visual effects so wonderfully polished. I always choose custom and move the hint and skip to the lowest setting. HOs are the silhouette style and interactive. I loved roaming around each beautiful scene never knowing what to expect next. I loved everything about the game and hope the company keeps making more like this!

The interactive map allows you to jump, which is very helpful. I really liked it Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by ipprocessdoc from Two thumbs up! There are quite a few cut scenes but it is not distracting and adds just the right information. Sometimes these were not all that easy. The adventure part does not go above and beyond to be revolutionary, but the challenge factor is still there. There are a huge variety of mini-games to play - some of which are very challenging. But luckily there is this interactive map. The detailed artwork is simply stunning to look at and the subtle animations in each scene effectively add to the realism of the experience. The puzzles were great, not too difficult but not too easy. A good amount of HO's and they were not "just find", it was "find and use". It took me about 2. Most important for me is the puzzles. Not all of the tasks are mundane and not all of the solutions are obvious.

I never pay much attention to the sound, so it must not have been bad, since I didn't even notice it. Okay, there is quite some going back and fro, and not always in a logical manner like GabCab you've done much effort to get a train going to reach another Lanfs:, and then have to go back to pick up one single item and then go back again. Graphics are great. I played them all and really enjoyed them.

  1. Not all of the tasks are mundane and not all of the solutions are obvious. The first mini-game threw me into a spin - what looked so easy took me 30 minutes to conquer! I played them all and really enjoyed them. With them you can see which locations are active and seamlessly move from place to place in an instant. The story is pretty interesting even though that's never a deal breaker for me.

  2. But luckily there is this interactive map. This one has just the right level of challenge. I really liked it Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by ipprocessdoc from Two thumbs up! I completed the game. Thanks Fivebn for another job well done!

  3. There are 21 Achievements, 30 morphing objects, finding 7 Gloves, 8 Icicles, 8 Owls, 7 Stained Glass, 13 Books in the main game and 12 Horses in the bonus game. It went on and on, and again new areas opened up to be explored. The adventure part does not go above and beyond to be revolutionary, but the challenge factor is still there.

  4. Great game! The one-hour bonus chapter adds another layer of storyline to the four-hour main game. All the mini-games are fun to do and there were a few I hadn't seen before as well. The fairy mini-game with the laser beams also took me a while as well. For some reason, the clues found for certain minigames did not appear which left me to figure it out.

  5. The games are so incredibly fun to play. It took me about 2. Not always easy. I enjoyed the locations, the mini games and the challenge as i set the difficulty to high, however it wasnt fustratingly difficult. Definitely comes recommended.

  6. As for the game play, it has 4 settings, including custom. The fairy mini-game with the laser beams also took me a while as well. Now this is what I call value for money. Okay, there is quite some going back and fro, and not always in a logical manner like when you've done much effort to get a train going to reach another area, and then have to go back to pick up one single item and then go back again. There are 21 Achievements, 30 morphing objects, finding 7 Gloves, 8 Icicles, 8 Owls, 7 Stained Glass, 13 Books in the main game and 12 Horses in the bonus game.

  7. I can not think of anything to add because it really is one excellent game in every area. The detailed artwork is simply stunning to look at and the subtle animations in each scene effectively add to the realism of the experience. Actually, I did not know it was a series! Some are way too easy but there is a good balance.

  8. Nevertheless, its still a five star game IMHO. The adventure part does not go above and beyond to be revolutionary, but the challenge factor is still there. I have never played any of the Lost Lands games before so have to assume that the lead character is in all of them. Some are way too easy but there is a good balance. However, it is easy to remember where tasks are to do.
