Grim Tales: The Nomad Collectors Edition

Elephant Games proudly presents another moving story in their classic series Grim Tales! Your sister Luisa once again needs your investigative help to solve a bizarre series of robberies plaguing her museum and others around the city. No one has seen the suspects come and they’ve left few clues behind. Use your powers to travel to the past and uncover the culprits. But be careful, you’ll also uncover a shocking revelation about the Gray family in this heartwarming hidden-object puzzle adventure game!

This is not a game I would waste good money or game credits on. All you do is find things to find other things. The graphics are poor Good story. You play as Jared who finds himself trapped by his own souls' dark side. My special ability is going back in the past. There are six 6 mini-games and five 5 HOP scenes. They are time killers. They lack creativity and most are not interactive. Story is boring Well, really rushed, it's a short game. It took the normal amount of time for me but I like looking around and just enjoying. Sequence puzzle. Overall, a lot of fun in this one.

Sound FX were done nicely, when we had them. Enter three periods of his life which he must correct in order to return to the real world. Thank you Grim Tales and keep them coming. Yes many of the items are easy to find but not all of them jump right out at me. There is some variety in the HOPS but most are presented in the list find style that I enjoy the most. I only found one I enjoyed, a scene in which jewelry items are returned to a jewelry box. Bonus chapter was ok with more searching. The scenes are very clean and clear and items are not difficult to find. We must travel into the past of certain characters to prevent a critical event, a sort of one-scene Redemption Cemetery that could have been extended just a bit in each case to make a better balanced game. Luisa is married to John Gray. Well, really rushed, it's a short game. There are parts that are a little dark but I feel it makes it harder to find items. I would have liked to have wallpapers of the dinosaurs from the main game.

It had its moments, but the best part of the game was being able to change the past. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Majestyx12 The Time Portal The Outcasts with a much improved Life Based on the finished game with bonus material. I would have liked to have a moving screensaver of the moving Dinosaurs but you have 3 plain one's instead. There are aspects which I feel are not of the Grim Tales: The Nomad Collectors Edition quality as the previous games. This is not a game I would waste good money or game credits on. If I were to have any complaints Doctor Life: Be a Doctor! all it's that it was too short. Fingers crossed The collectibles are jigsaw pieces to assemble a few screen savers Trade Mania then you have some morphs and the figurines that you have collected so many times before. I don't get in a hurry. Moai IV: Terra Incognita Collectors Edition down barriers to shut down parts of roads which have obstacles. Hello friends! Some of the earlier games had a tendency to be what some might consider a bit gritty but the later games have Pengu Wars far more to my liking. Thanks for the review. Date published: Rated 2 out of 5 by own2sphynx from Good visual poor story This has to be the shortest and least rewarding Grim Tales to date and I own them all.

I have so many games from this developer, that I am sure this one will pick up as we progress. I do like "Dad's" voice. I will probably sit on the fence till the SE comes out and revisit my decision, or lack thereof. Date published: Rated 2 out of 5 by campingramps from Meh This was one of the most frustrating games I have played in a long time. Also the lock didn't have a picture in the guide but they wanted the number only in the center and not on one end. Some of the earlier games had a tendency to be what some might consider a bit gritty but the later games have been far more to my liking. We also have the jigsaw puzzles pieces to complete 3 puzzles, and morphing items. The collectibles are jigsaw pieces to assemble a few screen savers and then you have some morphs and the figurines that you have collected so many times before. I had to quit and restart three times before being able to finish. Yes, I am adding this to my collection of CE games. Granted there was the bonus game and secret room but I do like a longer game especially from collector's editions. Switch slats of a picture to restore the image.

I just skipped it after I had them on the outside by their pictures. I only found one I enjoyed, a scene in which jewelry items are returned to a jewelry box. Anna Gray can travel back in time, with nothing more than a personal item, she can manipulate time itself to stand still. I wasn't pleased with how teeny tiny those morphing objects were. I am a fan of the Grim Tales series love the father! Getting back to the family tree thing: my biggest beef with this game is that Richard calls Jared his grandson, which is false.

By the time we moved on, I had forgotten what I was doing there in the first place. Returning in this chapter is Vincent to help Jared. I love the Grim Tales series. Place pieces back into the proper position. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by dancemom1 from How did I get herer? Well, really rushed, it's a short game. Richard tells him to visit 3 distorted personal memories to collect 3 soul shard's which will let him return to the real world. Thank you Grim Tales and keep them coming. This was a bit too easy, even for me, since I don't follow with audio, and often bore trying to keep up with a storyline. The scenes are very clean and clear and items are not difficult to find. I love having a large inventory and then having to remember where I might need to use one of the items. I just completed the entire CE version. But it was too short. The Morphs are a bit too large and morph a bit too fast to make them challenging, and the puzzle pieces aren't very challenging either because the zoom zones they are located within won't close automatically until you click on it.

  1. I purchased the game almost immediately and have had no regrets. I wasn't wowed by the game. It is actually the Bonus Game that puts closure on the thing, for the remaining relative has some skeletons in his closet as well, ahich Anna's father, his grandfather, helps him to erase.

  2. I have so many games from this developer, that I am sure this one will pick up as we progress. This particular puzzle is easier than it has been in other games but I still enjoyed it. Graphics are on the below average level and the characters are quite laughable in their stick like movements and voices.

  3. There is a replay of hos and puzzles. One does look around for items so if you don't like this this game is not for you. To me it was not a short game but I have it with hints and skips only so I do search around more than most people I guess. I found it to be a medium-length game, and the minigames not particularly challenging.

  4. There is a good pace with the addition of three different stories within the chapter. This addition is not challenging, but had enough going on to keep me interested. Nevertheless, there are only twenty-four 24 in the entire game. The gameplay tasks which you have done hundreds of times before are just plain monotonous. Had she been drinking?

  5. Bad stuff: I am totally confused by a museum that has ONE artifact stolen in a robbery and closes its doors. You have silhouettes, straight lists, interactive lists and highlighted words. I just completed the entire CE version. The game is shorter.

  6. We have 12 character statuettes that are small enough to miss, but still large enough to see. We must travel into the past of certain characters to prevent a critical event, a sort of one-scene Redemption Cemetery that could have been extended just a bit in each case to make a better balanced game. Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by sigap from Good story, too short The demo was longer than the rest of the game when I bought it.

  7. Some of the earlier games had a tendency to be what some might consider a bit gritty but the later games have been far more to my liking. Switch plates to create 3 given keyholes on a diagram. You play as Jared who finds himself trapped by his own souls' dark side. You just have to be watching for them. Using her unique abilities to travel back in time, Anna discovers some shocking family secrets related to this crime.

  8. The gameplay is entertaining and the storyline is excellent. There are only twenty-one 21 in the entire game. The Morphs are a bit too large and morph a bit too fast to make them challenging, and the puzzle pieces aren't very challenging either because the zoom zones they are located within won't close automatically until you click on it.

  9. Fingers crossed I have to admit that I'm getting a bit confused by all the family members that this series has introduced. I find a bunch of confused kids that have special powers. So I'm left with a somewhat interesting story, surrounded by overly familiar tasks and general silliness.

  10. You play as Jared who finds himself trapped by his own souls' dark side. A bit more of an explanation of the Gray family relationships earlier in the game might have prevented a lot of confusion for players who aren't familiar with the series. The story line was good I thought a little different but not really a game changer.

  11. The bonus chapter is definitely worth paying for the Collector's Edition. It jumped around way to fast no character development The graphics are poor Bad stuff: I am totally confused by a museum that has ONE artifact stolen in a robbery and closes its doors.

  12. My special ability is going back in the past. Looks like we have 16 in this series. I think most levels of players will find something interesting about this game. I've been saying this for years. I have to admit that I'm getting a bit confused by all the family members that this series has introduced.

  13. The story was bland, and the bonus chapter seemed to be just "busy work" with no narrative value. Enter three periods of his life which he must correct in order to return to the real world. He sounds a bit sinister in this one, but still with a little mischief in him. My special ability is going back in the past.
