The house was really interesting visually and game-wise. Would recommend Battle Slots to others who enjoy puzzles as well as HO scenes. Finding the items you need to proceed can be very fustrating. Only to be disappointed by the "ending" of the game. Thanks GameHouse! The HO scenes are fairly easy BUT 3 or 4 hidden objects Spellarium 3 each scene can be difficult to find not because they are cleverly hidden but because Mytery: are Mysteyr: hidden by another item. NOT travel. The mini games give you no intructions whatsoever Fills the whole screen. The storyline is good. If you like HO games, and don't object to a rather unsatisfying story ending, you will probably like this game. Of all the game titles that BF claims have "gorgeous graphics", this one is not mentioned and it has my vote for the Best. Great art. Big on HOPS. Not a big fan of attic rooms and basements too drab usually but in this game, even those areas were kinda fun.

It's fairly quick to complete Rated 5 out of 5 by SparkleGlow from Stylistically riveting. NO originality at all. I found the puzzles simplistic and the HO scenes a pile of junk, with two three items hidden in darked out areas, for which all I could do was randomly click around until they popped up. If I had known that, I probably would not have wasted one of my Game Pass credits on it. The manor has been in the family for ages. If you like HO games, and don't object to a rather unsatisfying story ending, you will probably like this game. What do you need to know about free software? Overall I found the game irrating in that the 'hint" function was anything but that. The puzzles are average nothing original. Initially I thought this would be an easy game but it is not as simple as it seems, you can spend quite a lot of time wandering about wondering where to find an item you need to get into the next locked room or solve a puzzle Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by nannamom from Great interactive game I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Talks about characters that were there once, giving the game a sense of discovering past history. I found myself scrambling to unlock each room as I couldn't wait to feast my eyes on what was next. Future Youda games are definitely on my radar now. The game had a lot of hidden areas but it was very nice to have objects from the hidden areas used in other areas as this is what helped make the story line very interesting.

Publisher's Description From Macgamestore: In Adera Mystery: The Stanwick Defense of Egypt, after her parents mysteriously deceased when she was still a little child, her grandfather sent Emma Stanwick to a boarding school. I've seen a lot of visually rich atmospheres, but this one was gorgeous, causing me to really look at the scenes themselves rather than just rushing though the game. Not a game you want to eat at your computer or avoid going out for the day etc On the flip side, there was a little too much wandering back and forth from room to room, and the hidden objects and artifacts could be tough to find. That was very frustrating for me, because I like a game's story to be entertaining.

Great art. The detail of each room on the ground floor and first floor is eye candy -- the furniture, paneling, etc. Talks about characters that were there once, giving the game a sense of discovering past history. That's why I gave it 2 stars. Exactly what I've been longing for in a search-the-manor style HOG game. I did turn the volume down some but just enough that I could hear the person do the dialog. It feels like it started off good and then the creators of the game couldn't figure out what to do with it. But the mystery of the story was never really developed much, leading to what I thought was a very unsatisfying ending. It's doesn't give away the answers you have to find it on your own. I found myself scrambling to unlock each room as I couldn't wait to feast my eyes on what was next. What is the purpose of the strange piping, running through the house? I've seen a lot of visually rich atmospheres, but this one was gorgeous, causing me to really look at the scenes themselves rather than just rushing though the game. Why is the fireplace lit? Emma's great-grandfather also lived here before she was born. In the options menu you can switch off the voiceovers if you wish but they are well done, you can also select widescreen.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by mzlady68 from Great game This game was just not long enough on trial. It was very challenging. I liked how the story continually became more relayed the further along you got in game. The Hint feature takes a while to reload, which can be annoying when you have no idea what to do next to solve the mystery. Overall I found the game irrating in that the 'hint" function was anything but that. I recommend this to no one. That was very frustrating for me, because I like a game's story to be entertaining. Anyway, don't waste your money buying this one. I didn't realize it until after I purchased it, but I got more than half way thru the game during the free trial. That's why I gave it 2 stars. In the options menu you can switch off the voiceovers if you wish but they are well done, you can also select widescreen. We never do find out what the machine is although I figured it would be some sort of time travel machine. They are not particularly difficult, but neither are they so easy that it is boring. The hidden object areas also have very good detail in line with the over-all detail of the rooms. It is a fairly long game. Emma's great-grandfather also lived here before she was born. I'd even go as far as to say this game is better than Ravenhurst which was my undisputed favorite search-the-manor HOG
