There are a LOT of scenes to have to click through when you have to go from one end of the island to the other. The problem here is that solving puzzles are on different pages and constantly flipping it in search of clues is not very convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. However, the further you advance, the more linear the game becomes, and thus less problems for subsequent levels are expected. The presence of a strategy guide is always welcome although I think I could get through it without next time round.
Dark, spooky atmosphere. In summary, this is a very interesting and enjoyable game, and well worth the money. The play was sequential so you were not running around collecting things that you have no idea how to use until later in the game. Some of those were tricky to find. But in the end, The Beast of Lycan Isle offers a short burst of thrills, and proves to be a fun and exciting adventure from beginning to end. This additional leg of your journey is a true test for the hardcore hidden object gamer, sending you on a scavenger hunt across the entire island and throwing difficult puzzles at you every way you turn with limited hints and instruction. Much better than the "filmstrip-style" story telling of most adventure-hidden object games. There is a constant sense of urgency in the game, like a race to stop the evil sectarians and their ritual before it is too late. A worthwhile game to play and spend your time with. There is a lot of walking around but it is usually indicates where you need to go. Puzzles are easy to moderate difficulty. Also, It was refreshing to not have to run back and forth just to find one item, or to hold various items throughout most of the game for no particular reason.
