  1. The game never moved forward to the next screen. The adventure part of the game is often busy, with lots of tasks to complete in a single scene and plenty of backtracking. The games are mostly mechanical-related puzzles that are easily solved on the first attempt.

  2. From the get-go your brother is kidnapped and you must follow him and these thuggish mercenaries all over the world using unworldly clues to reach him. The hidden object scenes are highly interactive and fun and the puzzles and abundant and thoughtful. They drag down the action considerably, which doesn't make sense considering the adventure style game.

  3. While this might translate to a linear and easy gameplay for some other games, the gameplay here is expansive and offers solid challenges. It is puzzle heavy, but the hidden objects are used to move the story along. I was ready for this one to be over. Wanderlust: Shadow of the Monolith is a game that can replayed and will most likely become a classic favorite with gamers. It has been a long time since I played a game that was as exciting as Shadow of the Monolith.
