Now Veronica claims to have seen Helen through the window of her old house — and she even took a picture. HOPs somehow become unappealing, cluttered with hard to see-items in the kind of dark bags in black corners. I really liked this game! Over the years you have gained quite a reputation and now you are off and running to solve another paranormal mystery. Yes, the storyline is Chuzzle: Christmas Edition familiar but Sxle: like the way this developer tells a story and all of the details they put into their Mahjong Detective: The Stolen Love. Even though I love this game, please try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy. There were a few too many cut scenes; needless to say, they were well-done. I definitely rate this game 4 stars. Now there FBI: Paranormal Case one creepy scene, like the "Chucky" doll, who was crawling on the floor with a shackle in his mouth. I think EleFun Wanderwr put a lot of effort into this game, especially the artwork. But the neat thing was you had the option to choose the puzzle instead, which I did from time to time. My goal is always to avoid using skip, but a few random action situations are more annoying than challenging. If you love a good paranormal mystery, then you're in for a good time! I can honestly say, that I have enjoyed this one and it I felt that the developers really improved Wanderee this one. In course of the game we discover quite a bit of background about the figures, and we get the most information concerning Ben.

My review is based on a completed SE game. Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by spythere from Bitter-Sweet Redemption Ghost and crime reporter Emma Roberts gets an emergency call from … Hillary Clinton? What spooked me was the fact that he fell asleep in a crawling position with his mouth wide open. In this series:. Tasks were regularly updated and there was a back button. I think EleFun devs put a lot of effort into this game, especially the artwork. Disturbingly, Helen looks not a day older than in HOPs have warm, earthy colours, are mainly arranged under homely candle light, as if we'd secretly peep into cozy, dimly lit corners. It has intrigue, lots of great tasks, good mini-games, nice graphics--not the best but very good. That being said, the scenes are well-designed and it is fun to find or replace items in the varying scenes, some of which are also multi-tiered. Glad to see the attempt, Elefun : I was not disappointed with the music. Not quite, her name is Veronica Johnson - but she certainly could qualify as a lookalike.

I described at length why and what in my review of the Collector's Edition, hence Zumas Revenge read my CE contribution if you want to know more details. The graphics are sub-par, the lag time is horrendous, and the lack of originality makes Fear for Sale: The Dusk Wanderer an incredibly tedious game. How is it that the lag time in the trial was only 3 seconds and by the time you reached the bonus adventure it turned into about 10 seconds? As for the Amazing Adventures Riddle of the Two Knights, the background music compliments the moody theme of the game very well and the voice-overs are professionally done. My goal is always to avoid using skip, but a few random action situations are more annoying than challenging. The fear for sale games are more a thrilling slightly spooky adventure. Disturbingly, Helen looks not a day older than in The Wanderef Object Scenes are fairly typical scenes for this series, however, they are breaking out of their shell Mystery Tales: Art and Souls Collectors Edition little bit, offering keywords in sentences to find, replacing items back into the scene, finding items using your phone, interactive list finds, and silhouetted shape finds. Salle: has her hands full with this, now you see it, now you don't case, but all roads seem to lead to Helen's friend, Ben Carmer, who just so happens to Fexr the last person to see the couple before they disappeared without a trace I like the fact that Emma's voiceover was natural and engaging. HOPs have warm, earthy colours, are mainly arranged under homely candle light, as if we'd secretly peep into cozy, dimly lit corners.

It is fun to click on most items in a scene simply to see what happens, which is probably the reason why it takes me so long to complete a game. When it's solved - pouf — Helen and Edgar vanish, like they disappeared 40 years ago. There were several times that I thought I had finished, only to find there was another level. I think the few times there is a bit of mistiness in the scenes it is probably intentional, perhaps to emphasize the storyline. I liked the character's confidence and courage, too. It's well worth the SE price or on sale. Helen's character moves in the opposite direction of Edgar's. I like the fact that Emma's voiceover was natural and engaging. As with all other games in this series, you earn points for just about everything you do. Tasks were regularly updated and there was a back button. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by sheepqueen from I loved it! It is very hard to say whether the game was lengthy because the lag time made it monotonous. Delve into this terrific new Fear for Sale game and see if you can find the answer to the questions so that Veronica can finally find out what happened to her brother. At first, the whole story is told through HO scenes and mini games, with here and there perfectly scattered notes, photographs, diaries.

Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by BooksandGameFan from I had an enjoyable time playing this game! When it's solved - pouf — Helen and Edgar vanish, like they disappeared 40 years ago. I usually dive right in to the game and target the strategy and game-flow, but in this case, it was Emma and the other characters that intrigued me more, which is unusual for me, because I like to move on with the game. Once she compared this picture to a picture of Helen taken just before her disappearance, she is utterly shocked, because the pictures are practically identical! The end tasted for me rather bitter-sweet. Fear for Sale: The Dusk Wanderer is not a revolutionary game, but it is a very entertaining one. The puzzles are easy but they are still fun. The Hidden Object Scenes are fairly typical scenes for this series, however, they are breaking out of their shell a little bit, offering keywords in sentences to find, replacing items back into the scene, finding items using your phone, interactive list finds, and silhouetted shape finds. The SE ends conclusively. There were several times that I thought I had finished, only to find there was another level. The gameplay modes include a very odd custom feature that really, IMHO seems useless and it does not offer the ability to turn off the tutorial. Hence they are also a bit a challenge.

However, I can't recall to have greatly noticed them within the game; for HOPs, Arkhipov particularly used music from previous games. It's well worth the SE price or on sale. It'd been 40 years since Edgar and his fiance Helen disappeared mysteriously. Yes, the storyline is probably familiar but I like the way this developer tells a story and all of the details they put into their games. The Fear for Sale games are ones that I almost always love and they come from a developer who I consider to be one of the best, with games that are always top-notch. Once you found the object that he needed, the shackle was released from his mouth. Yes there are 9 multi-level achievements to earn as well. The standard extras include a strategy guide, bonus chapter, 9 wallpapers, 9 concept artwork, 3 screensavers, and 16 music tracks. Although we did find many of the locations stunning with great attention to detail, a few locations looked a bit pale. If you love a good paranormal mystery, then you're in for a good time! There were a few too many cut scenes; needless to say, they were well-done. Your tools include an interactive map that you find early in the game. Slightly boring though. Not quite, her name is Veronica Johnson - but she certainly could qualify as a lookalike.

  1. There were several times that I thought I had finished, only to find there was another level. Your tools include an interactive map that you find early in the game. It is very hard to say whether the game was lengthy because the lag time made it monotonous.

  2. Mostly I found the story took a twist that I haven't come across before and I enjoyed the game play and solving the mystery. At first, the whole story is told through HO scenes and mini games, with here and there perfectly scattered notes, photographs, diaries. What spooked me was the fact that he fell asleep in a crawling position with his mouth wide open. Nothing new.

  3. I did finish the CE and feel the extra chapter, while entertaining, will not be missed in the SE. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Italia47 from He looks like "Chucky" and he's bald! It is very hard to say whether the game was lengthy because the lag time made it monotonous.

  4. Fear for Sale: The Dusk Wanderer gave us a good 4-hour playtime to enjoy, plus another hour for the equally-solid bonus chapter. Although we did find many of the locations stunning with great attention to detail, a few locations looked a bit pale. This developer does give you some bells and whistles: customization of settings, a teleport map which indicated when you had found collectibles, complex items to assemble and some variation in the HO scenes. A dozen of the 16 tracks are more or less interesting minimal-soundscapes; very intriguing, incredibly subtle constructs, some eerie, some sad, some created from merely statics and spooky sighs. Fear For Sale has always been a hit or miss type of game, it's either really awesome, or kind of a dud, but I have only two complaints with The Dusk Wanderer.

  5. The hidden object scenes are in the same vein as those in the recent games by Elefun; satisfyingly creative. The puzzles are easy but they are still fun. Glad to see the attempt, Elefun : I was not disappointed with the music.

  6. Secondly, the graphics are very poor. Good stuff: The multi layered and varied HOPs, good - but easy - mini-games, good artwork, and convoluted story are all as well done as you would expect from the Fear For Sale series. I think EleFun devs put a lot of effort into this game, especially the artwork. I have only encountered one that slowed me down a bit but even that one was entertaining. For me personally, it doesn't thrill me one way or the other, I have no intention of competing with my friends to acquire a better score.

  7. The first few HOPs and puzzles are a good example of how great this game could have been. If you would prefer the CE version of the game the extras include 25 collectible objects that complete 5 different sets and 35 morphing beyond objects to find. I played this in one day, I couldn't wait to see what happened!!! Story not the most exciting and logical one, but o.
