Paranormal investigator Rick Rogers is back in his second Paranormal Files investigation from Elephant Games, creators of Grim Tales and Mystery Trackers! A group of friends gathers on the anniversary of their friend's mysterious disappearance in the woods. When history threatens to repeat itself, you are called in to help. One by one, the friends go missing at the hands of the supernatural forces who roam the area. It's a good thing you have protection against dark forces, because this walk in the woods won't be a walk in the park! Track down the missing friends and find out the truth behind the ominous Tall Man and his merry band of terrifying supernatural minions in this chilling and fast-paced Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!

In the beginning of the game. Collect twelve 12 figurines of characters from the game, twenty-five 25 all-seeing eyes and twenty-seven 27 morphing objects. The characters voices were good except for the guy with the goofy accent. A missing person, a concerned sister who turns out to be more than a bystander, a spooky forest, a mysterious mine with evil unearthed by a group of feckless twenty-somethings who need rescuing - yes, we've played this one before and the devs are playfully letting us know that. If there is one challenging aspect of the game, that would be the collectibles, which are mostly smartly hidden and relatively difficult to find. They had ten mini-hops in addition to the regular hops. Also avoid obstacles within your path. The character, graphics, puzzles, storyline, it all worked beautifully. I felt it was sad and made me want to play some more to find out the end. I was really amazed when one of the first tasks was a zippered case and it actually had a zipper pull that worked!! The same can be said about sequence puzzles as well. The villain is never properly fleshed out and perhaps that is deliberate - it's just evil and that's that. My favorite scene was in the bonus chapter in which you must match up items by opening boxes to locate them. I did not find this game scary; however, I did find it fast-paced with plenty of activities to keep the player engaged. First memorize the location of a series of cards, then, when the cards are turned over, choose the card which matches the card the dealer skeleton shows you. Assembly puzzle. Give the demo a try! We eagerly await the next installment. Overall, it was a good buy for me. Elephant Games have always been reliably enjoyable but Paranormal Files raise the bar. When her friends enter the woods and end up missing, it will be up to you to find them. You can replay thirteen 13 HOP scenes and thirteen 13 puzzles. Good all around game that is more who done it game than spooky.

The story is well-written, and the player will have no idea what this game is about until they complete the demo and get into the rest of the game. But in the Bonus game we learn that I hate short games, so that in itself was worth at least 3 stars from me. Return to the same woods on another case. The attention to detail is as impressive as ever, even the hidden object scenes look stunning on screen. The premise of this sequel might not be as grand as the first game, nor it is particularly original, but there are good twists and turns scattered throughout the storyline that help make it engaging. All buttons must be pushed. I found the story interesting the monster made me think of season 3 of Riverdale and the detective had a sense of humor.

The puzzles ranged from easy to moderately difficult. Right now he is searching for the teens who went missing very recently from the house at the edge of the woods.

  3. The graphics are dark, setting the mood for spooky fare. Surprisingly, the final activity is a HOP scene not a puzzle. Switch elephants so they are standing on the proper color. I'm anxious to get down to the nitty gritty of this age-old mystery.

  5. Switch puzzle. Using arrows to move three rows across, down and sideways, rearrange 3 sets of colored tiles so that each row has tiles of the same color. Connect lines between tokens based on the number of gems upon them.

On a 7 x 5 grid, press buttons with directional arrows on them to create a path which ends up at a star button at the exit. Journalist, Mika Stato, along with her cameraman, have disappeared within these woods. Has replays on hops and puzzles.

  11. I really enjoyed this LONG game. A couple of neat plot turns prevent the cliches from becoming overwhelming; actually, by the time we get to an Indiana Jones-style challenge and it's referenced by name, the cliches are pretty darn funny. There are twenty-two 22 achievements. If I have to pick a bad thing about this game it is similar to some others I played but not all bad though. Choice between Easy and Hard modes.
