9 Clues: The Ward

After responding to a distress call from a secluded psychiatric hospital, a young detective and her partner find themselves struggling to solve a murder. As they press the patients and hospital staff they find that there are dark truths being kept from them. Each new clue only raises more questions. Who killed Doctor Crow? What drove one of the male nurses insane? Who is Zed Rascov? Why is the name of a little girl, Ginger, carved into the wood-paneled wall of the dead doctor's office? Can you unravel the mystery? Like one reviewer said, you wouldn't go there to get Battle Slots The dialogue can be clicked through if you read faster then they speak but it reduces the atmosphere each character provides. As more of the story was revealed, the game got better building up to a surprising and interesting ending that I did not see coming. The story is good and the puzzles make sense instead of leaving you guessing as to what to do. The charactors in this game were awesome. Even though they were simple, I quite enjoyed them, because it felt nice to play something simple instead of being bombarded with interactivity. I have never seen a story so creepy and addictive ever before. I liked how there was lip-synch too. The map also provides areas of interest so you know there is something to do in that area. Interesting characters. Puzzles are not my strong suit in this type of game, but I only skipped three of them. The Enigmatis games are way more my style. For those who like puzzles, they were in a good number, and were spaced out well. So, so glad I did! One of the things I love about both these games is all the interaction your charactor has with all the charactors in the games. The basic gameplay features have been done well too. The characters had depth and a real backstory. The graphics were very nice.

Clearly one of the better games I have 9 Clues: The Ward in a while. But I was wrong! This was such a welcome departure from the typical paranormal and fairy tale themed games that I found myself wondering why there aren't more psychological thrillers and classic who-dun-its in adventure gaming. Here's hoping for a game 3 in the not too distant future. For those who like puzzles, they were in a good number, and were spaced out well. Most of the characters were really good. They were drawn with some nice detail and colours, and the character designs were good. So if Hello Venice puzzles are Lucid thing, you may not like this quite as well. I loved every second of it. The graphics were wonderful and clear which is always appreciatedthe mini and HO games were fun, but the real standout for me was the storyline It was more like a whodunit movie script in my opinion. It's especially fun to have the man playing the sidekick, as is the case in many of these games. This is one of my favourite games to come out this year.

Nothing bloody or gruesome here. Loved the story and being the detective. Even though they were simple, I quite enjoyed them, because it felt nice to play something simple instead of being bombarded with interactivity. Great fun all around, is this one! My rating for this game is 4. Even though the plot was about arson and murder, I did not find it really dark or creepy. They really killed some of the enjoyment factor. Map- The map is interactive and is quite useful. Like one reviewer said, you wouldn't go there to get better! As usual they have snagged an overly familiar horror theme and brought it to life within a hidden object adventure, which really takes some doing.

The story is good and the puzzles make sense instead of leaving you guessing as to what to do. Fun puzzles. I bought the other two in the series. Recent releases such as Elizabeth Bathory and True Fear talk about compelling, edge of your seat entertainment! And this one is no different, as the scenes change around you throughout the game. The graphics were very nice. The reason? I downloaded the trial of this game and thought, 'oh my god, not another Chucky doll horror rip off'. Next time I'll play in the hardest mode. However, going through Big Fish withdrawal would be a pretty tough job lol! It was used 4 times throughout the entire game. I gave 4 stars for the storyline and visuals out of my own personal bias. Before now, I'd never even touch a standalone SE, but this game changed all that. Everything built-up to an extraordinary ending, one that I most certainly did not see coming. The basic gameplay features have been done well too. The HOS were well spaced out and the quantity was great. In fact, you could almost say I hated them. But I'm still hooked, and that's what matters, right? The puzzles were the worst thing about this game for me. It was more like a whodunit movie script in my opinion.

It was definitely the most fun. The charactors in this game were awesome. The HOS would be an example of the run-of-the-mill aspect of the game.

  3. Lots of twists and turns, very suspenseful. You just have to swap the clues around in the order in which they happened. Otherwise, though, there were no problems. There is a diary, which keeps track of main character you meet, and any events that occur to do with that character.

  4. The opening cutscene was great, but after that, I will admit the story did take a bit of getting in to. I thought it was a wonderful adventure and I highly recommend it to any and every one who loves a great game with a great storyline! I loved it!! Please note that we can't help you out if you write about it in your post.

  5. I highly recommend these two games to all who love HOGS. The voice actors who played the parts were fantastic, Their voices were very spot on and believeable, full of emotion when it was needed. The hospital was creepy and one I would not want to visit for any reason. But I was wrong! One of the patients was really creepy but mostly in an innocent, sad way.

  9. This is a trend I can really get behind!! And believe it or not No one's written about 9 Clues 2 - The Ward yet. Diary- Keeps track of events- the people you meet, and all information regarding them.

  10. Clues is a great game!! My rating for this game is 4. You then see a short cutscene showing what happened revealing part of the story. I was curious to learn about Ginger, the young girl who had such a profound effect on one of the characters.
