It just didn't live up to my expectations. Best Explained this game is what Bloody Mary should have been had it not been watered down so much with all those Cute Kittens and Helpful Gerbils all over the place. It is your job to rescue her from this creepy place, but can you escape from the vengeful spirits that haunt this hotel? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and that plays out in the well defined storyline. Haunted Hotel seems to be on a roll lately, as The X is the fourth Haunted Hotel game we get within the period of a year! Really atmospheric, fun mini games and engaging game play. It's hard to find a good game of this type anymore. The X is one of the stronger Haunted Hotel games, and it is definitely the series' scariest one yet. Some may find this a little simplistic, which it is I suppose, but you can't let up for a second as the Jump Scares never let up either, people who played The Emptiness will know what im talking about. This is all your casual Horror Games blended into One, the only thing I would have added would have been the Voice Actor from Dorian Grey Syndrome and so many other games when they were still good.

Nonetheless, each Haunted Hotel game continues to impress us and this one is no exception. Could not get the All-in-One Mahjong to come up in the first room even when I hit the hint button. The X has none of this fluff and is positively uncompromising in its mission to chill you to the bone and make you bleed from things you didn't know you could bleed from!! It's a must for anyone wanting a spooky,addictive game! First, the story was okay really, not a mystery, but sort of spooky. We finished the main game in about three and a half hours and the bonus chapter in 45 minutes.
