This series is going on my CE buy list from now on! The only problem is Rachel loves Richard, a young man who hopes to become a doctor and one who has no fortune. After so many morbid and bloody games during October, awful storylines I had been waiting for a game I actually wanted to play and Dark Romance Curse of Bluebeard was perfect. I feel like everywhere where there is a cliche, Curse of Bluebeard makes up for it by doing something original. As is the case with all of the Dark Romance games you will play both characters — alternating between them to save the day. As the game begins Count Bluebeard has set his sights on his next wife, one he hopes will give him an heir that does not become a monster. I love the interactive scenes where it is a bit difficult to figure out what items must be used and where. HOPs are varied, and even challenging in a few. It is easier to feel an attachment to these two and their story when we are able to see them from both sides, and it helps to feel like the kidnapped party is not entirely helpless. The switching character dynamic makes the characters feel more fleshed out. The puzzles range from super easy to super pain. I got 3. Animations weren't perfect but weren't the worst I have seen. The SFX, voice, characterization, music and every aspect of the sound quality was top notch. I just loved this game! The gameplay was smooth. There's a locket with the two lovers at bottom left, which glows with fire to let you know you need to play from perspective of the lady vs the man. Either way, this game made me want to play the bonus chapter. I loved this game. Nice graphics and fun story line. It's on my list of top favorite games of the year. The plot is simple- a take on the story of Bluebeard, you play as young lovers Richard and Rachel, whose life is thrown through a loop when Bluebeard forcibly takes Rachel to be his bride. Unlike most stories where the kidnapped party just vanishes for a majority of the game, occasionally dangled like a carrot, you can play as the kidnapped maiden as well. The game offers a custom mode but there is really very little to do with it aside from setting your hint and skip times. As always, even though I love the game please try the demo to see if it will be a game that you will enjoy. Do you have an issue with your game? The fact is that he has been haunted by a curse for a long time: all the children of the Baron turn into monsters immediately after birth. You are switched between Richard and Rachel as you try to save Rachel. HOPs are varied, and even challenging in a few. I didn't need to change to Mystery P.I.: The Vegas Heist more than twice, but it was nice that if you were getting frustrated with a puzzle that you Royal Challenge Solitaire the chance to make it easier instead of skipping it altogether. I got 3. The quality was enough that I wasn't too disappointed. I had been waiting for the game to be released and it was be an instant buy for me. Now, where I think Curse of Bluebeard becomes excellent is with the puzzles. I loved this game. Having played the other DR series, I think this is the best of the series. Maybe that's just me, but I thought it helped make the Rescue Team 5 more engaging. Help the beautiful Rachel to marry her lover, and not to Baron Bluebeard! However, you have the option of Match3 if you detest junk piles.

Even the fairytale concept itself, which both follows and diverges from the plot of Bluebeard. It was fun to play, the mini games were different and you could choose easy or hard depending on how much challenge you want. It's a little shorter than I would like but does feel satisfying in the end. Now, where I think Curse of Bluebeard becomes excellent is with the puzzles. I found the music very nice and relaxing and the graphics and scenery beautiful! Graphics are very nice and game is long playing. One of the things I would like to compliment is how the traveling felt. Wish the game was a little longer though. After the main game will be available bonus chapter. I would also like to compliment the mechanic to change puzzle difficulty while playing them. It's on my list of top favorite games of the year.

My favorite part of this game series is playing both hero and heroine Rachel and Richard and you get to witness the story unfold from different perspectives. After getting dropped off in prison at the beginning of the game, you start moving along towards Bluebeard's Castle without feeling like you're teleporting from one wildly different scene to the next.

  3. That being said, not everything about the story and game is perfect. Now the two must work together to stop the madman once and for all- and they do work together. Switching between the main leads not only allows for different locations and scenarios, but actually helps the story. Even the fairytale concept itself, which both follows and diverges from the plot of Bluebeard.

  7. The graphics are exceptionally well done, except for a few scenes in which the lady's head seems askew on top of her body. I had been waiting for the game to be released and it was be an instant buy for me. Animations weren't perfect but weren't the worst I have seen. There were lots of variety for puzzles, not too many HOG's and an interesting storyline.
