The Chronicles of King Arthur: Episode 1 - Excalibur

For years, King Uther Pendragon reigned in peace. Now he has been betrayed, his throne stolen by a usurper whose dark pact allows him to terrorize the kingdom and oppress its people. No one can stand against him. The wizard Merlin sets out from the castle, because only he knows Uther’s secret: that the Pendragon line lives on through an illegitimate child somewhere in the countryside. If Merlin can find him, they might still have a chance. And in a remote village far from the castle, a boy named Arthur has begun a rebellion against the false king.

The Chronicles of King Arthur Episode 1 — Excalibur is a very good game but unfortunately the developer has taken a lot of liberties in retelling the Arthurian Legend. It will take you around 9 hours to finish the game. I'm not sure why the morphing bubble tiles appear but I would suspect it's a reward for making a large match? The gameplay was solid the rest of the time and well balanced difficulty on 'timed' mode. And what i don't like at all: you can buy items, but there are already so many items on the board when you start the game, it doesn't give you a good feeling as it does in other games, where the board in the beginning is empty and you fill it with houses etc - and as the board is already so crowded, you can't even really detect what you have bought You'd expect a Bible story to sound like someone was just reading you a story out of the Bible, but as an epic tale about the rise of King Arthur taking possession of Excalibur, you want it to sound like a play, not like a Sunday School lesson. Instead of the story, i would have loved to have HO-scenes to solve. This is a no buy for me. You can opt to play in a Relaxed, untimed mode and there is a High Scores Leaderboard. The building of Camelot is the goal and the whole map of Camelot is also very small and tiny [think way smaller than ants]. I enjoy these types of games since it's relaxing enough and not so hard I feel stressed. The actual match 3 game play is a little sluggish and the same old swap tiles. Hope there will be a part

Each time you match three items, it will send a small amount of energy into the sphere so you can activate one of these abilities. I like the grid variety, and as you progress throughout the game new items will be introduced, as well as few little obstacles. The only cons is basic match3 gameplay. I found the play a bit slow but really liked the power-ups. This is becoming more and more prevalent with developers. But only this addition of a timed option to add any novelty sets it apart from the others I already own to make me buy it. The good thing about this feature is that any of the power-ups can be used and refilled on any level, unlike some games where you have to wait until a level comes along that has a particular bonus tile to refill that power-up. And what i don't like at all: you can buy items, but there are already so many items on the board when you start the game, it doesn't give you a good feeling as it does in other games, where the board in the beginning is empty and you fill it with houses etc - and as the board is already so crowded, you can't even really detect what you have bought The music is ok but can become annoying after a while. The gameplay was solid the rest of the time and well balanced difficulty on 'timed' mode. They interfere with the ability to make consecutive matches quickly if the pop-ups occurred in the area I was trying to make matches at. Happy gaming! Graphic and storyline was great!! It's a fun way to learn history or in this case, legend , but you CAN click quickly through the dialogue or skip it altogether, if you prefer. It will take you around 9 hours to finish the game.

I Charma: The Land of Enchantment absorbed in the gameplay that I was surprised when the demo seemed to end so quickly - LOL. I hope the developer make another shot with some improvement that pennmom told. There are six abilities and an energy sphere on the left side of the screen. The Chronicles of King Arthur - Episode 1: Excalibur Review Legend has it that only a true descendant will be able to pull out the almighty and powerful sword, Excalibur from its secure stone! The answer is yes and no It works for the Bible story games but not for the other Garden Panic. The play is interesting and as you progress the play becomes more interesting and challenging. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by SunflowerII from I like the voices and artistry It might be another game like others, but the King and others look like their voices which are rich and full. I am not a purist when it comes to computer games but I think that The Chronicles of King Arthur: Episode 1 - Excalibur developer should have presented the legend of Arthur a bit more accurately.

No real challenge. I hope the developer make another shot with some improvement that pennmom told. The tiles are small. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by gyanda from Nice, but The game visually is very small and no way to adjust any bigger. Nice, colourful graphics. This is a swap type, Match 3 game that requires you swap two adjacent elements to create a group of at least three tiles. To successfully win a level, you must collect all items displayed above the grid. Yes, the play is the same as the dev's other games, but I enjoy it a lot and when you add in the other factors, it's a great buy. I really enjoy this type of Match 3 game, it's challenging and it's fun to play. Each time you match three items, it will send a small amount of energy into the sphere so you can activate one of these abilities. King Arthur: Knights of the Round Table has it all, an excellent story, amazing graphics, challenging obstacles, smooth Match 3 mechanics, interesting bonus power-up tools, clever builder aspects required to progress, and obtainable goals, but is it enough? A previous reviewer described the gameplay, so I won't repeat it here. You can opt to play in a Relaxed, untimed mode and there is a High Scores Leaderboard.

Once again, as like previous games by this outfit, the spiders came and the game got Deleted! Unfortunately, I have purchased a couple of M3 games by this dev only to discover that the second game was exactly the same as the first game. In the first couple of levels, you can take as long as you want because there is no time limit. The Hammer removes a single tile or chain, the Orb will absorb a Ricochet Lost Worlds group of tiles or chains, the King's Shield collects all tiles of the same kind, the Lightning Staff clears an entire Horizontal Line including Chroniccles tiles, the Legendary Sword clears an entire Vertical line including chains, and Explosives clear a large group of tiles and any chains on them. I'm not sure why the morphing bubble tiles appear but I would suspect it's a reward for making a Chronicle match? The gameplay was solid the rest of the time and Epizode balanced difficulty Excallibur 'timed' mode. To do so, that particular tile must be part of a match three to break the chain, and this process must be duplicated twice if the tile has two chains. I hope the developer make Excailbur shot with some improvement that pennmom told. The story is way too long and takes up too much time, you Mahjong Match skip it but I do not need this much story. The game visually is very small and no way Mah Jong Quest II adjust any bigger. It is a good game! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by XFreak from Most epic in match-3 genre! Unfortunately, I have purchased a couple of M3 games by this dev only to discover that the second game was exactly the same as the first game. The first obstacles are tiles with one or two chains. When you Excaliibur 4, 5 or 6 items, double energy will make its way to the sphere as a bonus.

There are the normal obstructions as found in most Match 3 games of chained tiles, double chained tiles, Spiders that spin webs to lock tiles if you don't make matches under them quickly enough, but nothing unusual or different than most Match 3 games, and certainly nothing different than other Match 3 games by this developer. I hope the developer make another shot with some improvement that pennmom told. Graphic and storyline was great!! I so absorbed in the gameplay that I was surprised when the demo seemed to end so quickly - LOL. It seems one of the biggest challenges developers face is music whose repetitiveness doesn't get under your skin and they succeeded here. You can purchase upgrades to rebuild the city after gathering enough resources and you must purchase all upgrades to complete the chapter and open up the next Chapter's levels.

  1. I found this game to be enjoyable and relaxing - with challenges increasing as the game progresses, as in any well-developed Match 3 game. The play is interesting and as you progress the play becomes more interesting and challenging. I so absorbed in the gameplay that I was surprised when the demo seemed to end so quickly - LOL.

  2. Date published: Rated 1 out of 5 by wazoo72 from I hate the spiders already! You can opt to play in a Relaxed, untimed mode and there is a High Scores Leaderboard. It is only he who will be able to defeat the false king and restore peace in Britannia.

  3. WHY is there not an option to disable the spiders?????? What i don't like at all is "the story line" - it is good for nothing and only delaying the game. The individual who will succeed will be crowned the next true king.

  4. This rumour has been circulating all over Britannia since King Uther Pendragon was brutally removed from his throne. You don't earn Power-ups for making Large Matches, however, every match you make fills the Energy Orb, the larger the matches are, the faster it will charge. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by cyndrap from Overall good game Fun to play with progressive challenges The storyline is a little monotonous and I did not care for the music.

  5. Because the features are all the same from one game to the next, I only recommend this game to players who don't already own other M3 games by this dev because once again, I'm not seeing any new features from game to game. It works for the Bible story games but not for the other stories. As you progress through the game, a time limit will come into play very lenient by the way.

  6. We can turn it off, thank god for that! This is a swap type, Match 3 game that requires you swap two adjacent elements to create a group of at least three tiles. If they would just change the match 3 board layouts, I would give this game and following games 5 stars AND would start purchasing them again! The Hammer removes a single tile or chain, the Orb will absorb a small group of tiles or chains, the King's Shield collects all tiles of the same kind, the Lightning Staff clears an entire Horizontal Line including chained tiles, the Legendary Sword clears an entire Vertical line including chains, and Explosives clear a large group of tiles and any chains on them. Once again, I found the constant pop-ups congratulating me for making matches of 4 or more, to be distracting.

  7. I hope the developer make another shot with some improvement that pennmom told. The goal of each level is to make matches over all of the Brown filled-in Cells as well as matching a specified number of specified Tiles that are shown at the top of the screen.
